Noel Gallagher is streaming Fort Knox online as the second teaser of his new record Who Built The Moon?.
The largely instrumental, pulsing album opener succeeds lead single Holy Mountain in previewing Gallagher’s third High Flying Birds LP ahead of its release on November 24th. “It was the last track finished on the last day in the studio,” Noel explains.
“It started from a conversation talking about the Kanye West track ‘The Power’. The singer, Y-See, had never even heard the track and she started to do this vocal over it and it was like: fucking hell! It all just fell in to place.”
He’s expecting, if not hoping, for a divisive response from fans and recently told Rock And Pop Chile Holy Mountain had ‘split my fanbase in two’. Continuing on the album as a whole, he said:
“I speak for the entire album here: the people who will like it will not just like it, they’ll love it, and people who don’t like it will hate it.”
After his stint supporting U2’s Joshua Tree anniversary tour, Gallagher’s headline gigs start early next year.
