Texas gigs in Dallas, San Antonio and Houston have been cancelled by Morrissey in order to allow his keyboard player Gustavo Manzur to recover from the illness which befell him just before a gig in Colorado on Monday night.
The show in Dallas last night and the other two which were due today and tomorrow have now also been cancelled, meaning the tour is currently set to resume in Royal Oak, MI on November 23rd.
“Our good friend Gustavo has collapsed and is in your local hospital,” Morrissey told the Colorado crowd earlier this week. “We don’t know what’s happened to him. This is a family, we stay together. We can’t move until we know what’s happened to him. This is why things are ticking backwards and all we can do is wait.”
“We’re going to sit backstage for awhile and wait to see what’s happened to him, if there’s any magical cure.”
