Jack White went back to the White Stripes‘ ‘We’re Going To Be Friends‘ on Later…With Jools Holland last night.
White is on the trail promoting his career retrospective collection ‘Acoustic Recordings‘, and put in a stunningly highly charged performance on Jimmy Fallon’s US chat show last week.
Without quite needing the same emotion, this performance was no less charming as he aired the imagery-laden tale of childhood from the White Stripes’ modern classic 2001 studio album ‘White Blood Cells‘.
Also on ‘Acoustic Recordings’ is another delightful cut from Jack and Meg’s archives, this one previously unreleased and given a video by Michel Gondry.
On Later… too were Kings Of Leon, who gave ‘Around The World‘ its first airing ahead of the release of their next album ‘WALLS‘ on October 14th.
