Six UK tour dates have been arranged by Pixies after their second ‘post-reunion’ album ‘Head Carrier‘ is released on September 30th.
Currently being previewed with the familiar garage glory of ‘Um Chagga Lagga‘ and produced by Tom Dalgety at London’s Rak Studios earlier this year, the album will be treated to two nights at the Brixton Academy in London on November 28th and 29th, as well as shows in Leeds, Glasgow, Newcastle and Manchester.
“This was a wonderful luxury, for us to have the time to be able to really work these new songs out,” drummer David Lovering has said. “By the time we started recording, we all knew the songs backwards and forwards, so it took half as long for us to make this album as it did to make ‘Indie Cindy’.”
A limited edition, deluxe box-set edition of ‘Head Carrier‘ will be available exclusively through Pixiesmusic.com, featuring CD, heavyweight 180 gram black vinyl and a 24-page booklet.
