The next scramble for Glastonbury Festival tickets will commence on October 1st, organisers have confirmed.
That date is set for coach and ticket packages, while the annual feeding frenzy for standard weekend tickets follows on October 4th. Tickets cost £228, plus a £5 booking fee.
After the crisis of 2008, in recent years Glastonbury has been spectacularly bucking a general trend for financial struggle on the UK festival calendar by consistently smashing its own sales records; last year, 135,000 tickets went within half-an-hour.
All this of course before any of the headliners for 2016 are likely to be known, though Foo Fighters seem a certainty to return at the first time of asking after their late cancellation back in June this year.
Adele is a new bookies favourite meanwhile after a ‘flurry of bets‘, while Coldplay have odds of 2/1 with Ladbrokes and Oasis continue to attract interest at 3/1.
