Brighton-based band the Electric Soft Parade will provide the bulk of the support when Noel Gallagher takes his High Flying Birds out on their maiden UK tour this coming October.

It has been announced today the band will be first up for Gallagher’s gigs in Manchester and Edinburgh, as well as his first London show at the Hammersmith Apollo on October 29th.

After a relatively quiet few years, the Electric Soft Parade are expected to release a fourth studio album next year. They have a long association with Noel Gallagher, having supported Oasis on numerous occasions in the past.

Murray James will offer support for the London HMV Forum gig on October 30th, while Folks will take up the duties at The Roundhouse a day later. As yet, the support for the tour’s opening gig in Dublin on October 23rd has not been announced.

The three extra dates in London and Manchester announced by Gallagher via a live webchat earlier this week went on sale this morning (August 25th), and sold out within minutes.
