Primal Scream, Mumford & Sons Added To Glastonbury Line-Up

Primal Scream and Mumford & Sons have been officially added to this year’s Glastonbury festival, joining previously confirmed headliners Coldplay, U2 and Beyonce.

According to The Guardian, Primal Scream will headline the Other Stage on the Friday night, with Mumford & Sons second on the bill. Also newly added to the event are the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Friendly Fires, Fleet Foxes, Gruff Rhys and Warpaint.

Commenting on this year’s headliners, co-organiser Emily Eavis said of Coldplay: “I really think they are at their live peak now. They have played together so much, and they give such a powerful live performance.”

While Eavis also explained how she believes the appearance of US popstar Beyonce will add some much needed variation to the weekend’s proceedings.

“I think when you’ve been in a field for four days you want something from a completely different sphere, that takes you somewhere else,” she said. “It will be good to get a bit of female power at the end. She’ll pack a punch and give us a fitting send off.”

This year’s Glastonbury festival will be held between June 24th-26th.
