The Mercury-nominated folk band will begin on May 9th at Preston’s 53 Degrees venue, and will then visit Newcastle, Birmingham, Bristol, Colchester, London, Oxford and Edinburgh before finishing at the Manchester Sound Control on May 24th.
Debut album ‘Becoming a Jackal‘ was released in the UK in May last year, and topped off months of critical praise with a Mercury Music prize nomination, missing out on a fiercely contested rundown to The xx‘s own debut record.
In addition, Villiagers are also booked to play Brighton’s Great Escape festival, and are due to play alongside Fleet Foxes at the Eden Sessions, Cornwall in July and the Green Man Festival in August.
