Veteran rockers The Rolling Stones will add another collection to their ever expanding back catalogue when a new singles box-set is released in April.

Due out on April 11th, ‘The Rolling Stones Singles (1971-2006)‘ is to include no less than 45 of the band’s singles, containing 173 tracks in all, of which 83 are not currently officially available elsewhere. The singles will begin with the 1971 classic ‘Brown Sugar‘, through to their most recent release, 2006’s ‘Biggest Mistake‘.

A special 32-page booklet will be thrown in, and will feature a new essay by respected Stones expert Paul Sexton, as well as an interview with the band’s former bassist Bill Wyman.

Also in April, a limited-edition vinyl of ‘Brown Sugar‘, including original b-sides ‘Bitch‘ and ‘Let It Rock‘, will be released to mark this year’s Record Store Day celebrations.

According to reports in UK tabloids today, a planned Rolling Stones tour could be in doubt due to alleged frictions between Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.
