Hotly-tipped singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding (photo) has topped this week’s Album Chart with her new record ‘Lights‘. The success of her debut LP comes after the singer topped the BBC’s annual Sound Of list in January, and she also received the Critic’s Choice Award at this year’s Brit Awards.

Elsewhere, Florence & The Machine and Paolo Nutini maintain their stays in the top 10, while The Courteeners second album ‘Falcon’ has dropped out of the top 20 in it’s second week. London-based rapper Tinie Tempah tops the Singles Chart this week.
