Blur will preview their new album ‘The Magic Whip‘ in full at a ‘mystery’ venue in London on March 20th.
‘The Magic Whip’ is Blur’s first album to feature all four original members since 1999 and was recorded at various points during the past couple of years, starting with their visit to Asia in 2013.
“There was an element of making amends with the guys but the fact is that I thought there was good music there and it’s a duty to deal with it,” guitarist Graham Coxon has said of the album’s inspiration.
Blur are also due to headline the British Summer Time festival in London’s Hyde Park this coming June, when the band will return to the site which hosted their gig to mark the end of the 2012 Olympic Games.
Other shows in Scotland and Wales are planned before then according to frontman Damon Albarn.
