The Libertines have confirmed they will release a short documentary film telling the story of their latest summer reunion after issuing a series of teasers on Facebook.
“No more teasing,” the post reads. “All of these pictures and quotes are taken from a wonderful short film that Roger Sargent made for us ahead of our recent tour. We’ll be unveiling the film in full soon, so keep your eyes on the Good Ship Albion as it sets course once again.”
Pete Doherty, Carl Barat, John Hassall and Gary Powell got together for the first time since 2010 initially for a headline comeback at British Summer Time in London’s Hyde Park last July. The gig subsequently spawned more festival appearances as well as a full blown tour of Europe.
They also remain committed to working on new material in the hope of releasing a first studio album since 2004 sometime in the near future.
