Arcade Fire‘s new single ‘Reflektor‘ is beginning to be unveiled around the world today (September 9th), and with it new snippets of information about its parent record are also coming to light.
Since it has already been made available in some countries which have passed the 9pm deadline, the apparent 13-track album’s artwork has been revealed on iTunes (pic), and looks set to carry the same title as its lead single.
A leak of the single which appeared online over the weekend also seemed to lend credence to rumours started by The Sun newspaper which claimed David Bowie features on the track after allegedly working with the band for a short time in the studio earlier this year.
Arcade Fire had the very rare privilege of being joined live onstage by Bowie in 2005 when the two acts performed three songs in New York, namely Arcade Fire’s ‘Wake Up‘ and the Bowie classics ‘Five Years‘ and ‘Life On Mars‘.
