One Direction have responded to a few gentle jibes on the part of former Oasis star Noel Gallagher by saying they ‘expect him to be a knob’.
During an interview with GQ, boyband pair Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles were asked about recent comments made by Gallagher, with former responding: “At the end of the day you kind of want Noel Gallagher to be a knob. You expect him to be a knob. That’s cool in a way. He says shit like that but that’s definitely what we would expect from someone like him. He’s predictable.’
“It’s easy to have a pop at the kids from X Factor,” Harry Styles acutely observed. “Thing is, his kids are coming to our show.”
Jake Bugg, who spent plenty of time on the road with Noel Gallagher during 2012, has also had plenty to say about One Direction, and remarked earlier this year that they are ‘a pop group who the young girls will grow up and forget about’.
