Despite leading the race in midweek, The Courteeners have missed out on a first UK number one album as previous chart topper Les Miserables returned to the summit yesterday (February 10th).

The Manchester band’s third album ‘Anna‘ in the end debuts down at #6 on the new chart, with the Les Miserables movie soundtrack, Jake Bugg, Biffy Clyro, Emeli Sande and Fleetwood Mac all enjoying bigger sales during the past week.

Elsewhere, Frightened Rabbit have also landed a Top 10 album this week with their new effort ‘Pedestrian Verse‘, while Eels‘ ‘Wonderful Glorious‘ is at no.14.
