The returning Inspiral Carpets have unveiled a brand new single and details of a 2012 UK tour.
The band, who were reunited with former frontman Stephen Holt earlier this year, have made the track ‘You’re So Good For Me‘ available on iTunes today. On January 3rd, a limited-edition vinyl and CD will also be released. The single has been backed with a re-recorded version of ‘Head For The Sun‘.
The Inspiral Carpets will launch a UK tour at the Bristol Thekla on March 15th. Shows in London, Holmfirth, Norwich, Portsmouth and Leamington Spa are also booked throughout March.
After a date in Glasgow at the ABC on March 23rd, a homecoming gig at Manchester’s Ritz venue will wrap the tour up on March 24th.
The Inspiral Carpets were at the forefront of the Madchester scene in the early nineties, and achieved their biggest hit with ‘This Is How It Feels‘ in 1990.
