Another track from The Strokes‘ ‘Future Present Past‘ EP now has an official video.
The promo for ‘Threat Of Joy‘ has been directed by Warren Fu and is at times strange indeed, most peculiar mama. It’s one of three original tracks on the EP along with ‘Oblivius‘ – first premiered by Julian Casablancas himself on Sirius XMU – and ‘Drag Queen‘ which received similar treatment from Zane Lowe on Beats 1. There’s a remix of ‘Oblivius’ on there too.
It all amounts to the first collection of new material from The Strokes since ‘Comedown Machine‘ had quickly attempted to put right the studio strife and inter-band troubles of 2011’s ‘Angles‘ in 2013.
They were back home in New York just recently for an appearance at Governors Ball and are at Splendour In The Grass next month.
