The Raconteurs are to release a new live DVD later this year, which features the band captured live at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2008.
Due to hit the shelves on June 18th and entitled ‘Live At Montreux‘, the DVD will contain tracks lifted from both of The Raconteurs’ albums to date – 2005’s ‘Broken Boy Soldiers‘ and 2008’s ‘Consolers Of The Lonely‘.
As previously reported on Live4ever, The Raconteurs reconvened in September last year for a gig at at the MI Fest in Brooklyn, Michigan. However, around the same time, Brendan Benson admitted to Billboard that any plans for a new album remain sketchy at best.
“I don’t know when the next time we’ll all be available to make a record, or even talk about it, will be,” he said. “When we were founded it was whimsical and impulsive and spontaneous and all those words. I think it’ll always be that way.”
