The Great Escape event in Brighton has grown today (February 24th) to the tune of more than 150 acts.
Leading those who’ll playing across Brighton between May 19th-21st are the likes of The Joy Formidable, Eagulls, Clean Cut Kid, Exmagician, Formation, Reigning Days and The Shimmer Band.
The Joy Formidable release their new album ‘Hitch‘ on March 25th, and have been previewing it with ‘The Last Thing On My Mind‘. “It’s a song about freedom, about feeling alive, and a part of that is about sexual liberation too which is why we wanted to make a music video from the perspective of a heterosexual female gaze,” said Ritzy Bryan.
“It shows men in many forms, being free, being sexy, being watched, it’s beautiful and thought provoking and is some small attempt to re address the existing imbalance of perspective and nudity in music videos,” she continued on the video.
