Sundara Karma have uploaded their promo for Explore.
It’s lifted from the re-release of the band’s debut album Youth Is Only Ever Fun In Retrospect, which comes on July 7th. “Oscar mentioned wanting to do something based around a funeral, and I thought about how I could do it in a personal way, by having people and the band do things that are not expected of the occasion,” explains director Dan Brereton.
“I liked the idea of a funeral where people kiss, act nonplussed, bring their lizard and take selfies. We shot it in a great overgrown cemetery in the middle of London, with delusions of pere lachaise, and inspirations like Harold and Maude and Gates of Heaven.”
Summer festivals for Sundara Karma are followed by a headline tour of the UK in September and October.
