Sundara Karma have picked Flame as the next single from their debut album Youth Is Only Ever Fun In Retrospect, out on January 6th next year.
Frontman Oscar Pollock has a lot on his mind. “We’re told that happiness will come from buying more sh*t or that you’re inadequate, from adverts, that you need to buy the new best thing in order to feel better,” he states. “It’s really f*cked up and there’s definitely some shady sh*t behind power.”
“For me it’s so obvious what’s wrong with the world at the moment and what the solutions would be – improving education for example, and taxing companies that have committed crimes.”
“I don’t understand why those things aren’t happening. There must be some dodgy sh*t going on if these obvious things aren’t being addressed.”
The band are out in America this month on the BBC Introducing Tour, and in early January tour the UK in support of Two Door Cinema Club.
