Suede have released another track from their forthcoming album The Blue Hour.
The video for Life Is Golden was directed by Mike Christie, who says:
“It’s not about the tragedy of the disaster that happened all those years ago – it’s about the unstoppable force of life that’s consumed the desolate landscape left behind by humans. It seemed wonderfully apt to set the song to cracked concrete, all conquered by towering golden trees.”
Suede’s new LP is due on September 21st and has been compared by the band to, ‘the time of day when the light is fading and night is closing in’. “The songs hint at a narrative but never quite reveal it and never quite explain. But as with any Suede album, it’s always about the songwriting. The band, the passion and the noise: ‘The Blue Hour’.”
