The 2014 reunion of Slowdive will soon deliver a new studio album, reports drummer Simon Scott.
“We’re finished recording the album and it will be mixed this summer, but we do not know when it will be released,” he’s told Undertoner.
Slowdive’s return came with a stated intention for new music, and has also taken in live shows and an anniversary release for their debut EP.
“The initial impetus was the idea of doing some new music,” Neil Halstead told The Quietus upon the former Creation band’s return. “It seemed easier to do that because it’s not so public. But then we thought it would be good if we could raise a bit of money to make the record, and doing a couple of gigs would enable us to do that.”
