Slaves‘ UK tour dates are on hold after drummer and lead singer Isaac Holman suffered a shoulder injury in Norwich.
“During last night’s show in Norwich unfortunately Isaac was badly injured on stage,” a Facebook statement from the band explains.
“He was seen immediately by doctors in hospital, and today was seen by a specialist who confirmed that along with dislocating his shoulder there is serious tissue damage that requires him to rest his arm to avoid permanent damage.”
Despite the nature of the injury, it’s clearly not been enough to dampen Isaac’s usual cheeky spirits if the picture above is anything to go by. The duo will have eyes on the Mercury Prize ceremony tonight (November 20th) where their debut ‘Are You Satisfied?‘ is nominated.
“Given that he can’t move his arm or drum, unfortunately we have to cancel tonights show in Glasgow and are looking into rescheduling the date asap,” the statement continues.
“Sorry for the inconvenience to anyone who bought tickets and thank you all for your ongoing love. More details to follow soon.”
