Ryan Adams will release an album charged with the production sheen of some of the eighties’ biggest acts in November.
Adams has name-checked ELO, AC/DC, Bruce Springsteen and others as major influences on his next record, which is reportedly out on November 4th.
“When I run, I listen to a Nano that I have,” he’s told Entertainment Weekly. “I put all the AC/DC records on from back to front, or I’ll listen to the best of stuff from the ’80s: Springsteen, or Hornsby, and I’ll listen to what is going on there.”
“I was listening to AC/DC’s Fly on the Wall and that’s when I realized what I had to do for the record.”
It’ll be Adams’ first album release since he put his own interpretation on Taylor Swift‘s ‘1989‘ album a year ago, and the first of original material since the self-titled effort of 2014.
