There’s more music today from Richard Hawley‘s forthcoming ‘Hollow Meadows‘ album.
‘Heart Of Oak‘ is the first official single and will be released on September 4th on 7″ and download formats, a short time before ‘Hollow Meadows’ is out on September 11th. It comes after ‘Which Way‘ gave us an early taste of the record last month.
“The song is about mentors, about people who give their time to others unselfishly out of friendship and love without thought of reward,” Hawley explains.
“When you think about it your time is really precious so to give it to someone else is a very powerful gift. I’ve had so many mentors in my life and I’m grateful for all that time they gave me.”
Richard Hawley tours the UK from the end of October, starting on the 25th of that month at the Brighton Dome. It continues through to November 10th and a stop at Southampton’s Guildhall.
