Dublin’s indie folk rock duo Morrissey & Marshall have released their new single “She’s Got Love” – taken from the bands upcoming second album, due out in May. You can stream it below.
Lead singer Darren Morrissey explains:
“The idea popped into my head when I was in Wexford, (Ireland) during our tour with Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott. I watched a flock of birds take flight and the line “Birds will fly and we’ll get by, ‘Cause that’s what we do” popped into my head… the song developed from there.”
“I suppose the idea is that a lot of our relationships are solely based on material shit – eating out, shopping etc, and not in the important things… like just spending time together (“We spend money just wasting time, but I’ll make mine for you”)
The band’s upcoming second album (We Rise) is set for release on Friday 26th May 2017
