Mick Jagger has all but confirmed The Rolling Stones will continue their live return into this year, but has said the Coachella Festival – an event the band were strongly rumoured to be headlining – will arrive too soon for them.
Speaking to NME on the Coachella rumours, Sir Mick said: “We’re not gonna do Coachella, ‘cos it’s too early. There was a rumour we were gonna do that one, but it’s very early, Coachella.”
However, he then indicated the legendary group should be ready to continue sometime after April this year, leaving the door open for a mooted appearance at Glastonbury in June.
“It’s April or something, isn’t it,” he continued on Coachella. “And we’re not gonna be ready to go by April. But we’re not gonna stop.”
The Rolling Stones embarked on the short 50 And Counting tour in November and December last year, playing headline shows in London, New York and New Jersey along with an appearance at the 12.12.12 benefit concert.
