Maximo Park‘s 10th anniversary tour will now include a gig at the Stoke Sugarmill on November 15th.
During the tour, the band will look back with due fondness on 2005 debut album ‘A Certain Trigger‘, which is packed with hook-laden British anthems and deceptively idiosyncratic lyrics that helped to make them the perfect recipe for the UK’s mid-noughties guitar band commercial boom.
Aside from their trip to Nottingham Rock City on December 15th, the rest of the tour is sold-out and is set to end at Manchester’s Albert Hall not long before Christmas.
Once this spell of retrospection is finished with, 2016 may see a brand new album from Maximo Park after frontman Paul Smith told Digital Spy last month that early work has started on a fresh batch of material.
“We started writing together a few weeks ago,” he said. “I reckon a new Maxïmo Park record is on the distant horizon, we’ll see how fast we can write together.”
