The Stone Roses‘ new single ‘Beautiful Thing‘ is available digitally and on streaming services today.
Premiered at midnight (BST), the second track to be taken from recording sessions with producer Paul Epworth in London feels more like the Roses of old in its stretched out, dreamy mood driven by the ridiculous talent of drummer Reni.
The Roses promise of new music, which stretches right back to their reunion in October 2011, has really got into swing during the week what with this and its predecessor ‘All For One‘ getting a live debut at a couple of warm-up gigs.
It sets the band up for their four nights at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester next week, and the visit to New York for a show at Madison Square Garden on June 30th.
In July, they play Marlay Park in Dublin and also headline Scotland’s T In The Park festival along with Calvin Harris and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
