Kodaline will headline a Stand Up To Cancer fundraising gig at the Union Chapel in London on February 1st next year, organised by Cancer Research UK and Channel 4.
“We’re really excited about this event and thrilled to have the support of so many wonderful musicians, it’s set to be a great night of entertainment,” Claire Rowney, director of Stand Up To Cancer, remarks.
“We’ve made amazing progress against cancer in the past few decades but one in two of us in the UK will develop cancer in our lifetime so we can’t afford to stand still.”
“All the money raised on the night will go directly to Stand Up To Cancer’s work to accelerate new cancer treatments and tests and ultimately it’ll help save more lives.”
Also performing will be James Morrison, Seafret, Dagny and Northern Ireland, London based songwriter Daniel James – whose own battle with cancer inspired the event.
Tickets go on sale from 10am, Thursday 17th December.
