Kate Jackson will embark on a tour of the UK after playing Tramlines in Sheffield this weekend.
The former Long Blondes singer’s debut solo album ‘British Road Movies‘ is out now and will be on tour from September 2nd at the Cookie Jar in Leicester. Jackson is back in Yorkshire on the 25th at Brudenell Social Club in Leeds, and finishes at Birmingham’s Rainbow on October 8th.
‘British Road Movies’ was recorded by Jackson along with Suede guitarist Bernard Butler at West Heath Studios in London. “As an island our roads lead somewhere far too quickly to hold adventure,” Jackson said of the LP.
“We are not the land of Jack Kerouac but of Antiques Road Trip. But who is to say our roads can’t be cinematic?”
