Lauren Laverne’s debut on the BBC 6Music breakfast show this morning brought with it confirmation of another act for Glastonbury 2019.
The festival’s co-organiser Emily Eavis was in the studio with Laverne as she officially took over from Shaun Keaveny, and it was revealed Janelle Monae will be headlining the West Holts Stage, while Eavis also detailed changes to the Aradia, Block 9 and Park areas in time for Glastonbury’s return from a year out in June.
Already on the bill is Kylie Minogue, who’ll be filling the Sunday afternoon ‘Legends’ slot, and Stormzy, the sole Pyramid Stage headliner to be known right now. “Very happy to confirm Stormzy as our first headliner for next year,” Eavis said on the Glastonbury website when Stormy was announced.
