Jake Bugg‘s video for ‘Love, Hope and Misery’ is here.
It’s a track you’ll be able to get as a download by pre-ordering his new album ‘On My One’, released on June 17th. “I wanted something with an epic pop chorus because I hadn’t done anything like that before,” Bugg has said. “Along the lines of Harry Nilsson, or Bill Withers.”
“The best thing was we actually got in Bill Withers’ drummer, James Gadson. He’s my favourite drummer so to have him playing on this record was a personal highlight.”
‘On My One’ presents Bugg going it alone for the first time after working with co-writers on the 2012 self-titled debut and the 2013 follow-up ‘Shangri-La‘. It’s also self-produced, apart from three songs which were worked on by Jacknife Lee.
After festival appearances at Splendour In The Grass, Sziget and more, Jake Bugg will embark on more headline UK and Ireland shows in Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, Leeds, Newcastle, London and Dublin throughout the autumn.
