Floral Image unveil Los Bitchos remix of Meadowland

Los Bitchos put their spin on Floral Image’s debut album opener.

Floral Image have unveiled a Los Bitchos remix of Meadowland shortly after coming off a run of UK and European tour dates supporting Kula Shaker and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets.

“Where Meadowland serves as the sunrise of our debut, Los Bitchos’ reimagining of it is a hot, dry, sweating sunset,” Mitch Forsyth has observed.

There’s mirage to it, a bit of breeze and musky incense, and it unwinds the fabric wrap of our licks and mummifies them. It’s spooky! It is ominous! It’s got a hypnotism to it. I think it serves as the perfect tone-setter to the record; unbind your expectations and allow the table to be upturned.

“Remixing Meadowland was a no brainer for me,” Serra Petale added. “Apart from it being instrumental, I really loved the production and the atmosphere that it set for the rest of the record.”

“I thought it would be cool to contrast the tracks’ bright disposition with a darker Turkish inspired re-imagining in a minor key.”

I love how the vocals sound so haunting and mysterious, they make me feel as if they could be played in the background while you walk through the Blue Mosque in Istanbul.
