‘Blackstar‘ is the clear favourite to posthumously win David Bowie the 2016 Mercury Prize ahead of tonight’s ceremony.
Bowie will be honoured at the Eventim Apollo in London by a performance from the lead cast of the Lazarus musical, and after being installed as one of the early front-runners when this year’s shortlist was revealed in August, he’s now 1/2 with bookmakers William Hill.
Only odds of 8/1 will get you second favourite Kano, while Radiohead have gone out to 14/1 to collect a first award courtesy of ‘A Moon Shaped Pool‘. The 1975 and Savages are also rank outsiders, both at 33/1.
