Miley Cyrus‘ live show – giant tongues, twerks, sequins and all – is up there with those served up by Oasis and The Stone Roses. So Lily Allen believes anyway.
“It’s up there with an Oasis show or The Stone Roses or something,” Allen has told Billboard. “It’s kind of incredible to watch – she’s a real force. There’s no two ways about it, she’s meant to be up there doing that.”
“She’s incredible, and she has such a presence. Her personality is what shines through. I’m not close to Miley. I don’t know her very well, but I feel proud of her.”
It was right at the end of their 2008-09 Dig Out Your Soul world tour when Oasis ceased to be after one final fight between brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher in Paris. The Stone Roses announced their live return two years later, and played rapturously received hometown gigs at Manchester’s Heaton Park in the summer of 2012.
