Wet Leg’s self-titled debut album is set for release on April 8th, 2022.
Currently on a short tour of the US, Wet Leg took the opportunity to quickly make their late-night TV debut on Seth Meyers’ chat show.
Indeed, it’s another sign of things moving fast in Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers’ world – as has been the case since Chaise Longue handed them an immediate hit upon its release back in the spring.
It was that track which the band chose to perform yesterday – one this week included in Live4ever’s favourites of the year:
“Indie discos saw their own dancefloors fill up when Wet Leg’s Chaise Longue commenced, one of those meaningless, gonzo indie-pop songs that catch fire infrequently,” our feature reads.
“A reassuring smash that has set high expectations for their debut album next year, while Oscar Lang can look back on 2021 with pride – 21st Century Hobby was nothing if not gargantuan in sound and chorus, and deserved a wider audience.”
