Little Simz has our pick of the week’s new tracks after confirming her Sometimes I Might Be Introvert album for release on September 3rd.
The third studio record is the follow-up to 2019’s Mercury-nominated Grey Area LP, and more immediately the 2020 EP Drop 6 which was included in Live4ever’s end-of-year retrospective:
“On the electronic side, Thalassophobia by Nicolas Bougaieff took us on a journey to the dark recesses of our minds, in lieu of a dark recess of an actual club (one day soon),” our feature reads.
“The anthem of The Summer That Never Was was surely Take Back The Radio by Katy J Pearson, which fizzled and sparkled with joy and intent, while Might Bang, Might Not saw Little Simz achieve a level of direct communication that other MCs can only dream of, without losing any of her London grit. Maddeningly catchy.”
