Isle Of Wight was part of the total cancellation of last year’s UK festivals.

Timing is crucial for UK festivals right now.

Be early in the season like Glastonbury, and it’s unlikely you’ll be able to go ahead. Come around much later like Reading/Leeds, and if the government’s timetable proves to be more reliable than its trains, then you might just be able to make a return this year.

For Isle Of Wight organisers, they’ve jumped this particular hurdle by moving the famous old event from its usual June slot to a September one, and are duly sounding thrilled at the opportunity this has brought.

“We’re so excited to announce that we’re moving the festival to 16th – 19th September 2021,” a statement reads.

“We’re aiming to bring back as many of the artists as we can but whatever happens, rest assured, you’ll enjoy a stellar line up over the festival weekend. It will be the perfect place to see out the summer in spectacular fashion.”

Fans of artists such as Lewis Capaldi and Snow Patrol should keep a close eye on developments then – they’d been among the headliners before this delay.
