Pet Shop Boys reschedule UK and European tour to 2022

Pet Shop Boys are also hoping to get out on the North American trail with New Order.

Pet Shop Boys have moved their UK and European tour dates to May 2022.

It looks like a safe bet for Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, the shows due to start over a year from now in Vienna on May 12th.

The UK leg, meanwhile, will bring visits to Manchester, London, Cardiff, Bournemouth, Newcastle, Birmingham, Glasgow and Hull.

The veteran duo are one of those to have had a new album left in live limbo thanks to the shutdown – ‘To the Pet Shop Boys, the more things change the more they stay the same’, Live4ever said in our review of 2020’s Hotspot.

“The Neil Tennant of 1983 would probably make less of the stars of now and their condition of – as he’s described it – narcissistic misery than the grandiose personalities of history who flamed brightly before extinguishing themselves.”

“Hotspot isn’t so much a riposte to that as an antidote, glitter in the grime and an open door through which anyone can walk.”
