slowthai has unveiled another new track, this one a collaboration with James Blake and Mount Kimbie written in Los Angeles earlier this year.

“This song is about the doubts we have whether it be within friendships, your partner or with our family,” slowthai says. “It’s about putting yourself in the other person’s shoes so you have a better understanding of the situation.”

Although ‘feel away’ is his fourth cut of 2020, it’s described as the first single from his forthcoming second studio album, the follow-up to the Mercury-nominated debut Nothing Great About Britain; “It’s definitely fitting that where there is a person who gains respect by compassion and not the mis-use of power that figure is female,” Live4ever’s review reads.

“On Northampton’s Child, Frampton’s mum is the hero, a role model depicted not in a landslide of sentiment, but against a starkly autobiographical depiction of temporary homelessness and domestic abuse.”
