The 1975 have confirmed the rescheduled date for their outdoor concert at Finsbury Park in London.

Originally booked for this coming July, the gig will now take place on July 10th 2021 – as confirmed by the band’s Dirty Hit label: “We found a date that works for July 2021. If you have a ticket for the cancelled July 2020 show your ticket agent will be in touch – you can have either a refund for your July 2020 ticket or you can transfer to a ticket for July 2021.”

Finsbury Park had been set to be one of The 1975’s biggest live commitments in support of their new album Notes On A Conditional Form; the album also has a rescheduled (albeit much more imminent) date, and is coming out on May 22nd.

It’s already been previewed with various singles including The Birthday Party, whose video was created by Ben Ditto and Jon Emmony; “It was truly inspiring to work with The 1975 on this project, combining digital craft with true emotion and a subversive and multilayered narrative,” the former commented.

“Matty and I have a shared fascination with the underbelly of Internet culture and how that impacts modern life, and we looked to address this from several directions and created an engaging and beautiful piece of filmmaking to contain these messages and their performance in a revolutionary way.”
