“Stay safe. Stay home. We will see you as soon as we can,” Kings Of Leon have said after posting a video of Caleb Followill acoustically performing a new song called Going Nowhere.

It’s probably not being pessimistic to say the band’s UK touring is under threat, but right now the gig at Finsbury Park in London on June 28th is going ahead as planned.

They’re due to be supported The Courteeners, Cage The Elephant, Soccer Mommy, The Big Moon and Inhaler for that show, the latest in their now-regular big outdoor UK summer shows. We last saw the band live during one of those; at Reading Festival 2018, when we found their focus firmly on ‘the mid-section of their now long career’:

“You know when you are so impressed with a set, but afterwards reflect on what else they could have played? This was one of those. The set had the perfect balance of crowd-pleasers and deep cuts; for every Fans there was a Knocked Up, for every Radioactive a Taper Jean Girl.”
