Jake Bugg has been recording with producer Andrew Watt in Los Angeles having recently signed a new record deal with RCA and will test new material during a November tour of the UK.

Bugg will start back home in Nottingham on November 16th and play further shows in Glasgow, Leeds and Manchester with the closing night due at the London Roundhouse on November 21st.

The new material is primed for Bugg’s fifth studio album, immediately following Hearts That Strain of 2017. “The rockabilly tendencies of Bugg’s early work seem to have mellowed into a more classic sound,” Live4ever’s review reads.

“Not even alt-country like all the kids are doing these days; this is the proper stuff. There’s hints of Merle Haggard or Conway Twitty and so on. Very slight hints, but hints nonetheless.”

Tour dates:

November
16 – Nottingham, Rock City
17 – Glasgow, Barrowland Ballroom
19 – Leeds, O2 Academy
20 – Manchester, Academy
21 – London, Roundhouse
