Foals have shared their new single Exits.
The first new material from the band since What Went Down, it previews part one of Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost which is due for release on March 8th, with the second part following in the autumn. “The lyrical threads are through both records,” frontman Yannis Philippakis has told NME. “It’s not yin and yang or anything corny like that.”
“You can also tell that it’s a band working in the same space over the same period of time. If you were to put it crudely, the first record is probably more keyboard-driven and has slightly more of a new wave feel to it. Then album two has more of the heavier rock frenetic energy.”
A tour of the UK has been booked to take place in between the releases of those two parts, and will open at Exhibition Park in Newcastle on May 24th before the main chunk gets going in June.
