James have announced a gig at the Manchester Albert Hall which will help to raise money for the We Love Manchester fund, launched to support those affected by the attack on the city’s arena during an Ariana Grande concert in May.
“Very happy to announce this benefit gig that we have been trying to make happen since the atrocity took place,” the band say of the show which will take place on December 18th.
“Please excuse our tardiness. We intend to make a memorable night of this intimate gig. With love. James.”
The Manchester Arena reopened last month with a concert headlined by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds – speaking to BBC 6Music about the show, Gallagher said: “I think we, everybody who performed, honoured the victims properly, and the survivors, and then we had a great time afterwards.
“The thing that happened with Don’t Look Back In Anger, the one thing I’ve learned, is music is of the upmost importance.”
