Shame have announced North American tour dates for November.
There’s no let-up for one of the busiest acts of the summer festival season; they begin the dates in Brooklyn on November 10th and head up to Canada for shows in Montreal and Toronto a week later. The trip ends supporting Ought in Arden, DE on November 20th.
On their visit to the States in March for the 2017 South By Southwest Festival, the band talked us through their formation during an interview at the Live4ever Lounge. “We started the band when we were 17 at the Queen’s Head pub in Brixton,” they said. “Practiced their for about a year-and-a-half and that was a big part of how the band started because we shared a rehearsal room with the Fat White Family.”
“The general environment of that place influenced us a lot. It wasn’t so much that we saw what they were doing and thought, ‘oh, we want to do something like that’, it was just cool to be in an environment with a band who were touring furiously, and it was interesting to learn how it all works.”
