Radiohead have unveiled the second previously unreleased track which features on the 20th anniversary re-release of OK Computer, dubbed OKNOTOK.
Man Of War received its radio premiere in the UK today, and now has an official video up on YouTube. “But why?,” a press release said of the reissue. “The original analogue tapes are the highest definition version of the record, and nothing will ever beat them.”
“However in the 20 years since the original release mastering technology has improved a lot, and with new equipment and techniques we can make a digital version that’s an improvement of the original transfer.”
Another 20 year landmark for the band – of their first headline performance at Glastonbury – is also about to be neatly marked when they top the same stage this weekend. OKNOTOK is out tomorrow.
