Arcade Fire will make their only UK festival appearance next year at Isle Of Wight.
The band are inching back into the live spirit with a follow-up to 2013’s Reflektor expected soon, and have been signed up to the event which is to run from 8th-11th June at Seaclose Park in Newport.
“I’m so happy to have secured Arcade Fire as our first headliner,” promoter John Giddings has said. “David Bowie recommended them and I’ve been a fan ever since.”
“Last year was an incredible year and I’m ready for us to come back even better in 2017.”
We can go back to the start of this year for the first rumours of Arcade Fire’s next adventure, thanks to eagle-eyed fans at Arcade Fire tube, while a brief update was given by Will Butler during a Reddit AMA session in June, when he talked of plans for an album release ‘next spring’.
